Gunnar Nilsson was a former Swedish racing driver who had a short career in Formula One before his death in 1978 due to testicular cancer. Overall, he entered 32 Formula One races and won once in 1977 at the Belgian Grand Prix. Elisabeth Nilsson, his mother, established “The Gunnar Nilsson Cancer Foundation” in memory of her son, Gunnar.
