The Carpathian Mountains are a range of mountains found in Europe. The highest mountain in this range is the Tatra mountains located in Slovakia and some parts in Poland. The name ‘Carpathian’ takes its origins from ‘Karpe’ which in Albanian means ‘rock’. The mountain range can be found in the countries of the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, and Serbia.
