A sex educator and a birth control advocate, Marie Stopes, led a controversial life, controversy mainly due to society not being ready for a worthy piece of advice. Her book Wise Parenthood (sequel to hugely popular Married Love) dealt with the topic of contraception, and despite the criticism, she went on to establish a birth control clinic and went about educating women on planned pregnancies.
