Liverpool is the fifth and the last football club to keep the European Cup/Champions League Cup after they won their fifth title defeating AC Milan in 2005. So, for the 2005-06 season, a new identical trophy was commissioned. The rule to keep the trophy was changed and since 2009 it remains with UEFA at all times.
