The Damour massacre was an event that took place in a town in Lebanon during the country’s civil war. This incident served as a plot in the 2017 movie Qadiyya raqm 23 (L’insulte), a Lebanese movie. The movie was Lebanon’s official entry into the Oscars for Best Foreign Language film, thereby becoming the first Lebanese movie to be nominated at the Oscars.
