Valeriy Lobanovskyi was one of the winners of the highest Football Award presented by FIFA, the FIFA Order of Merit. He is well-known for bringing in the ‘scientific approach’ to football when he was with the USSR team and the Ukrainian clubs. His tally of 33 trophies makes him the most football successful manager in the 20th century.
