FACT FOOD #1847

Amal El-Mohtar is a Canadian poet who besides poetry is known for writing short stories and reviews books on fantasy and science fiction. Her 2016 fantasy story about Tabitha and Amira and their fairy tales (titled Seasons of Glass and Iron) won both the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award for Best Short Story. The story was published in the anthology The Starlit Wood: New Fairy Tales!
