This photo was taken during the making of the 1981 movie Rich and Famous, which turned out to be Cukor’s final film as a director. Rich and Famous is adapted from the 1941 John Van Druten play ‘Old Acquaintance’. There was a 1943 movie starring Bette Davis adapted from the play.
