In 1995, AC Milan made their eighth appearance (and third consecutive) in the finals of the European Cup/UEFA Champions League. Their opponent Ajax was playing in its fifth final. The game was even until the final five minutes (before added time) when the substitute Patrick Kluivert scored and became the youngest player to score in a Champions League final. That goal was enough to give Ajax its fourth title having previously won in 1971, 1972 and 1973.
