Le mura di Malapaga is a 1949 French-Italian collaboration movie that won the top prize for the director and the actress at the Cannes film festival. The film is a mixture of film noir and neorealism that ended up winning the honorary Oscar for Best Foreign Language Movie at the 1950 Academy Awards.
