Fudbalski klub Crvena zvezda or the popular English name, Red Star Belgrade, was an ex-Yugoslav and a Serbian club which holds the distinction of being the only football club from former Yugoslavia and Serbia to win the European Cup. They won it via penalty shootouts defeating Marseille at the 1991 European Cup finals.
