The year 1988 was a great year for the Dutch football fans and more so if you were a PSV fan. Apart from winning the Dutch Championship, they won the Dutch Cup and completed the treble of winning the European Cup when they defeated Benfica via penalties. Five players from the PSV went on to win the UEFA Euro 1988 a few weeks later.
