I am Fugitive from a Georgia Chain Gang! is a 1932 memoir of the World War I veteran, Robert Elliott Burns, who became known for his escaping a Georgia chain gang in the 1920s. The story appeared in True Detective Mysteries Magazine and served as the basis for the Paul Muni starrer of the same name.
