At the 1978 Grammy Awards (for 1977), there was a tie for the Song of the Year. Paul Williams and Barbra Streisand won the award for Evergreen, a love theme from A Star is Born. The other song, “You Light Up My Life”, was penned by Joe Brooks and performed by Debby Boone.
