Little Women is a 19th-century novel written in two volumes by Louisa May Alcott. The novel follows the lives of the four March sisters – Amy, Beth, Jo, and Meg. The story is loosely based on the lives of the author and her three sisters. The book was adapted into movies several times. Two silent versions in 1917 and 1918. The 1933 version starring Katharine Hepburn, the 1949 version starring June Allyson and Liz Taylor, the 1994 version starring Winona Ryder and the 2019 version featuring Saoirse Ronan.
