Chief Dan George was a chief of the Tsleil-Waututh nation, located in British Columbia, Canada. He pieces of poetry were published under the titles ‘My Heart Soars’ and ‘My Spirit Soars’. Apart from poetry, he acted in television and movies and was a one-time nominee for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role Lone Watie in The Outlaw Josey Wales.
