After winning the first-ever Formula One race in 1950, Nino Farina went on to win the first ever driver’s championships. At the 1953 German Grand Prix, courtesy of his win he became the oldest driver (at age 46) to win a race driving by himself and not sharing the drive with the other driver. In the case of Fagioli (he was 53 years), he shared the drive with Fangio. The 1953 German Grand Prix win was Farina’s last win in Formula One.
