The Passion Flower is a 1921 silent American film based on a Spanish play (La malquerida) by Jacinto Benavente. It was further made into a 1940 Spanish film and a 1949 Mexican film. Jacinto Benavente was awarded the 1922 Nobel Prize for his contributions towards enriching the Spanish traditions through his works.
