One Hour With You is a 1932 movie that was adapted from the play Only a Dream by Lothar Schmidt and its 1924 musical The Marriage Circle. The movie was simultaneously made in French with the title ‘Une heure près de toi’. George Cukor who took over the directing for a short while when Ernst Lubitsch was busy on the other movie (The Man I Killed), was annoyed to have his name uncredited in the final cut. Cukor sued and asked for an injunction against the movie’s distribution. The matter was settled out of court and Cukor received the credit of ‘assistant director’ and to break his contract with Paramount so that he could direct RKO’s What Price Hollywood.
