In Earth’s Diurnal Course and A Terran Odyssey was the working title of Philip K. Dick’s 1965 science fiction novel. With the success of the movie Dr. Strangelove the previous year, the editor Donald Wollheim suggested the title change to the novel and his suggestion went on the published copy – Dr. Bloodmoney, or How We Got Along After the Bomb. At the inaugural Nebula Awards, Philip K. Dick’s two novels were nominated under the Best Sci-Fi novel category including this novel. He lost out to Frank Herbert’s Dune.
