Bill Vukovich is rated among the best drivers who took part in the Indianapolis 500 which he won for the first time in 1953. As it counted for the F1 driver’s championships, and the absence of the European and regular F1 drivers, his win put him on top of the leader’s board at the end of two rounds of the 1953 Formula One season.
