At the 1975 European Cup final, Leeds United was making its first appearance in the final two. Bayern Munich played as favourites and the defending champions scored two goals to nil to secure their second consecutive European Cup title. And, what happened to Leeds United? A goal was disallowed owing to offside and in the end, the fans didn’t help matters, riots during the match didn’t go well with UEFA as they handed out a four-year European ban for Leeds United, which was later reduced to two years upon appeal.
