Days of Wine and Roses is a 1962 movie that won an Academy Award for movie’s theme music. Henry Mancini was the composer. In 1963, he released the song Days of Wine and Roses that took the Grammy award for ‘Song of the Year’. The name ‘Days of Wine and Roses’ was inspired by a late 19th century poem ‘Vitae Summa Brevis’ by Ernest Dowson which was taken by JP Miller for his 1958 play of the same name.
