Edwina Booth, an American actress who starred in the few movies in the late 1920s and early 1930s. She is well-known for her leading appearance in the 1931 movie Trader Horn. The movie was based on the book of the same name by Alfred Aloysius Horn. The movie produced by MGM and was extensively shot in East Africa, the first non-documentary to be shot in Africa. Unable to cope with the African tropical conditions, she contracted illness during the shooting. Despite the problems the production faced, the movie was a success and was nominated for the 1931 Best Picture Oscars.
