Cockatoo is a parrot that belongs to the bird family Cacatuidae. It is commonly found in Southeast Asia and Oceania regions. The name ‘Cockatoo’ comes from the Dutch language term ‘kaketoe’, which in turn was derived from the time Dutch settled in the East Asian region. The Malay term for this bird is ‘kakatua’.
