Tunnel über der Spree and Die Krokodile were two literary societies based out of Berlin and Munich respectively that thrived in the 19th century. Paul Heyse was one of the few writers who were members of both the societies. At the age of 80, Paul Heyse was one of the oldest winners of Nobel Prize in Literature. He was the third German to win this coveted prize.
