At the 1969 European Cup final, Ajax became the first team from the Netherlands to compete in the finals. Their opponent A.C. Milan romped home winning their second title courtesy of a hattrick by Pierino Prati. As of 2018, Prati remains the most recent player to score a hattrick in a European Cup/Champion’s League final.
