The 1952 French Grand Prix was held at Circuit de Rouen-Les-Essarts, the first time it hosted a Formula One race. The circuit hosted five Formula One races in a space of 16 years. At the 1952 Grand Prix, Ascari continued his impressive form winning his second consecutive race of the season and leading the trio of Ferraris on the podium.
