At the 1966 European Cup finals, Real Madrid got back to its winning ways and won their sixth European Cup title. Their opponent, Partizan became the first Yugoslavian football club to take part in a European Cup finals. Currently, the Partizan club is a Serbian professional club based in Belgrade.
