The term ‘Duma’ has different meanings depending on the language(s). In Russia, it is used for assembly and gets its name from the Russian verb (dumat) which means ‘to think’. Duma is one of the languages spoken by the Bantu people in Gabon. And, Duma is also the Swahili word for ‘cheetah’.
