Bjornstjerne Bjornson was a Norwegian poet and writer who is known for having contributed the lyrics to the Norwegian anthem, Ja, vi elsker dette landet (Yes, we love this country). For his versatile poetry and magnificent writing, Bjornson was awarded the 1903 Nobel Prize in Literature, the first Norwegian to receive the award.
