Steaua Bucuresti, the most successful football in Romania was founded in 1947 and thus far has spent in the top division of Romanian football league. Until 1998, the team belonged to the Romanian Army and even had a minor disagreement with the current owners regarding the use of the brand ‘Steaua’. The term ‘Steaua’ translates to ‘Star’ in English.
