Kazuo Ishiguro won the 2017 Nobel Prize Literature. His 1989 work The Remains of the Day won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction in 1989 and was later adapted into a movie in 1993 that starred Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson. The movie was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, but it didn’t win any awards.
