The 1934 quarter-final between Czechoslovakia and Switzerland was played in Turin on 31st May 1934. Since it was a newly-built stadium, it was named after the then Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini. It is currently known as Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino after it hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics. Briefly, it was also renamed to ‘Vittorio Pozzo’ stadium in 1980, in honour of the winning coach.
