The 1950 Indianapolis 500 was counted towards the F1 season of 1950. The race did not attract any European entries and the race was won by Johnnie Parsons for Kurtis Kraft-Offenhauser. It was at the same time Clark Gable and Barbara Stanwyck shot film scenes for the movie To Please a Lady at the Indianapolis track.
