The 1950 British Grand Prix happens to be the first Formula One race of our modern times. At that time, the race was known as the Grand Prix of Europe and was held at Silverstone. Surprisingly, Ferrari, who have taken part in every season since 1950 did not make an appearance in the inaugural Formula One Grand Prix. Alfa Romeo’s Giuseppe Farina took the pole and the win.
