Alfredo Pián was an Argentine racing driver who took part in the inaugural F1 championships in 1950. He did not take part in the first race at Great Britain and entered the Monaco Grand Prix with Maserati. Unfortunately, he met with an accident during the practice as his car hit an oil patch which resulted in a spin and the subsequent crash onto the guard-rail. His leg injuries prevented him from starting the race and never raced again in F1.
