In 1980, the South African Government banned the Pink Floyd’s hit song “Another Brick in the Wall” as rebellious black children adopted the song as an anthem. The reason, the government’s education system is racist as it spends six times more educating a white child as compared to a black child. So, the lines, “We don’t need no education, we don’t want no thought control,” seemed to haunt the government. The ban was removed in 1994.
