In 1932, Graham Greene’s novel Stamboul Train was published as ‘Orient Express’ in the United States. Two years later, the Agatha Christie’s detective novel, The Murder on the Orient Express was released under the title of ‘Murder in the Calais Coach’ in the United States to avoid confusion with Greene’s novel.
