Jean Louis, one of the best-known designers specialised in gowns made of the nude colour net covered in crystal beads. He created this first for Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe for the famous “Happy Birthday” and for Kim Novak in Jeanne Eagels. He is also known for creating the famous gown worn by Rita Hayworth in Gilda and for Loretta Young for her Loretta Young show. Jean Louis would marry Loretta Young during his last four years of his life.
