In 1943, Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Émile Gagnan presented their invention, the aqualung to the world. It was the first self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) to achieve global popularity. This innovation allowed them the ease of film and explore underwater. Aqualung was also the name of the fourth studio album and a song by Jethro Tull.
