The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band was a 1960s British band started by art-school students. One of their songs, Death Cab for Cutie served as the inspiration for the Indie-rock band, Death Cab for Cutie. The song title was in-turn inspired by a phrase coined by Richard Hoggart in his 1957 book The Uses of Literacy, and the phrase later appeared on a few of the American pulp fiction magazines.
