John Irving’s 1985 novel, The Cider House Rules was adapted into a movie in 1999. It starred Michael Caine, Tobey Maguire, and Charlize Theron. The movie won two Oscars – Best Supporting Actor for Michael Caine and the other for John Irving for Best Writing, Screenplay based on material previously produced or published.
