In the American record label, A&M Records, A refers to Herb Alpert and M refers to Jerry Moss. It was an independent record label that started in 1962 and operated until 1999. For more than thirty years, its headquarters was in the same location as Charlie Chaplin’s famous studio in Sunset Boulevard.
