During the late 19th century, the art of posters started to become popular. A London-based monthly magazine, The Poster was founded that dedicated its pages showcasing the posters. It was first such magazine published in Britain that exclusively focussed on posters. The journey was shortlived as it folded its operations in 1900 after 30 months.
