Jana Novotna has played the Wimbledon finals twice in the singles championships. She lost to Steffi Graf in 1993 after having tied 1-1 going into the third set and she lost to Martina Hingis in 1997. She defeated Nathalie Tauziat in 1998 to win her only singles title. She has 12 women’s doubles titles in Grand Slams, four mixed doubles titles, and three Olympic medals. She passed away on 19 November 2017 after a long battle with cancer. RIP Novotna!
