Thomas F. Dixon wrote a book The Clansman, which is part of Ku Klux Klan trilogy. The novel was adapted into the movie, The Birth of a Nation. However, Dixon did not earn any money from the movie. Nevertheless, he went on direct ‘The Fall of a Nation’, in 1916, the first sequel ever made in Hollywood.
