Between the years of 1889 and 1913, the Scottish poet and novelist, Andrew Lang, wrote a series of fictional and true stories for children that came to be known as ‘Andrew Lang’s Fairy Books’. Each of 12 books is distinguished by its own colour. The sources for his English stories are from different cultures.
