And, yes, this did happen. Roger Federer took home his 2nd title this year. After winning the 2017 Australian Open, he went on to win his 19th title and thereby became the first male tennis player to win Wimbledon eight times. In Open Era, Federer becomes the second man to win the Wimbledon title without dropping a set (after Bjorn Borg in 1976).
