Mookie Blaylock is a retired professional basketball player who played with New Jersey Nets, Atlanta Hawks, and Golden State Warriors. The Pearl Jam band members had initially named their group ‘Mookie Blaylock’ and due to copyright concerns they ended up choosing ‘Pearl Jam’. However, their debut album ’10’ is a dedication to Blaylock’s Jersey number.
